I think we need to redecorate our velodrome 🙂 The women's quartet set three world records in Tokyo. The German four rode like they were possessed: Franziska Brauße (Eningen), Lisa Brennauer (Durach), Lisa Klein (Erfurt) and Mieke Kröger (Bielefeld) were perfectly tuned for the Olympic tournament, setting a new world record in qualifying in 4:07.307 minutes, which they improved again in the next round to 4:06.159 minutes. In the final against Great Britain, they were in the lead from the start, flew perfectly around the track and became Olympic champions in a new world record time of 4:04.242 minutes.
